New York City Girl-Saudia Young is a Jazz/Blues/Cabaret singer.
Saudia Young-Dark Kabaret includes the tunes of : Brecht, Weill, Waits, Jazz & Blues Standards, as well as Young’s originals, sung in German, French and English. Audiences love the dark lyrics combined with Saudia’s sultry voice and emotional stage presence. Taking them on a theatrical joy ride.
Band members: Jan Hoppenstedt on Contra Bass and Dirk Toepper on Guitar.
The alternate combo is with Composer/Pianist Markus Bandur, in which a theatrical Cabaret comes alive with music , text and movement.
Young has a monthly residency at the
Fabisch Bar/Circus Hotel, in Berlin and is booking through out Europe. We look forward to bringing her Edgy Cabaret to you!

The Local’s series “Making it in Germany” presents Saudia Young, a US cabaret singer working Berlin’s live music circuit.
Originally hailing from New York City, Young counts some of Germany’s great writers and composers among her biggest influences as a singer. The Local spoke with her about her decision to move to the country’s capital for some modern Teutonic inspiration and what’s it like to be a working expat musician.
